Quarry Safari

I've put together some photos which I took last September at an open house at a nearby quarry.

This is a HUGE conveyor belt that runs the stones out onto a special transport ship.

Here is where the ship docks.

Dramatic shadows always go well with industrial scenery. Maybe its possible to tell what time it is by the angle of the shadows if you get your handy protractor.

I really wish I had a lot of wall space and a sweet, sweet printer for panoramas. I would love to print this out after fine tuning it in Photoshop.

A kinda eerie photo.... perhaps because the subject is facing away and the frame is dominated by cold shapes.

There were tons of kids ruinning around and freaking out about the huge vehicles. They were rather funny.

and at long last, my favorite shot of the session.
